This hike was the 3 Burroughs, a long and majestic hike that is climbs about 8000 feet in elevation. Mount Rainier National Park, established 1899, protects the iconic, glaciated 14,410-foot Mount Rainier, an active volcano dominating Washington's skyline, featuring diverse life zones from old-growth forests and vibrant wildflower meadows to glaciers and subalpine terrain, offering year-round recreation like hiking, climbing, and winter sports amidst stunning landscapes carved by glaciers and rivers.
